Stephanie Willding, MPa
Stephanie D. Willding, MPA (Steph) became the Chief Executive Officer in November 2019 of CommunityHealth, the nation’s largest volunteer-based free health center. Steph is a skilled health care and nonprofit leader, adept at developing and implementing transformative initiatives across organizations. She is a seasoned thought leader with a documented record of increasing and diversifying revenue, using data to improve and adapt program performance and advancing organizational goals through strategic and annual planning. Steph has committed her career to building organizations that empower underserved communities to break the cycle of broken systems and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
Prior to coming to CommunityHeath, Steph most recently served as Chief Officer of Strategy, Planning and Development at Chicago Family Health Center (CFHC) where she increased and diversified revenue, led data driven performance improvement projects to expand access to care and improve quality outcomes, and advanced organizational goals through strategic and annual planning. Prior to joining CFHC in 2015, Steph was the Executive Director of the East Village Youth Program, a primarily volunteer-based youth services nonprofit. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a B.A. in International Studies from DePaul University. Outside of her passion for health care access for all, you will find Steph volunteering for animal rescue organizations, mastering a new needlepoint pattern, cycling around Chicago and caring for her two rescue dogs.
